The Heat Geek service

ZeroDisrupt design & premium installs.

As Heat Geek trained engineers we install using ZeroDisrupt — a data-led design approach that removes the three biggest barriers to going electric: high cost, home disruption, and slow, uncertain quotes. It pinpoints exactly what your home needs, so we keep upheaval to a minimum and lock in real-world efficiency from day one.

AI-driven design

Our design engine learns from thousands of live-monitored systems to specify the leanest, most efficient setup for your home.

LiDAR home scan

A precise digital model of your property drives accurate room-by-room heat loss and emitter sizing — no guesswork.

Keep what works

Predictive modelling identifies the radiators, pipework and cylinder we can retain, so we replace only what genuinely needs it.

Design-first quality

Every system is engineered for the lowest possible flow temperature, maximising SCOP and lifetime running-cost savings.

Air source heat pump installation in Leicester & the Midlands

An air source heat pump is the most efficient way to heat a typical UK home, and getting the design right is what separates a system that quietly saves you money from one that disappoints. As an engineering-led, MCS-certified and Heat Geek-trained installer based in Leicester, we start every project with a full room-by-room heat-loss survey. That calculation — not a rule of thumb — determines the size of the heat pump, the emitters and the pipework, so your system runs at the lowest possible flow temperature for the highest possible efficiency.

We specialise in premium R290 (propane) heat pumps such as the Vaillant aroTHERM plus and Viessmann Vitocal 250-A. R290 is a natural refrigerant with a global warming potential close to zero, and it holds a high flow temperature even in deep winter — which means we can retrofit period and solid-wall homes without ripping out every radiator. Careful commissioning to VDI 2035 water quality, weather-compensating controls and correctly balanced emitters all combine to deliver a genuine seasonal efficiency (SCOP) that translates into real running-cost savings.

The Boiler Upgrade Scheme puts £7,500 towards your installation, rising to £9,000 for eligible off-gas-grid homes for applications from 21 July 2026 to 31 March 2027. We manage the entire grant application on your behalf and deduct it from your invoice, and installation of a heat pump carries 0% VAT. Every install is MCS-certified, insurance-backed and notified to Building Control and your DNO by us, so nothing is left for you to chase.

Start with a free online estimate to see the likely system, savings and grant for your home, with no cost and no obligation. When you are ready for an exact price, our £250 home survey delivers a full heat-loss assessment and a bespoke, itemised proposal — and that fee is fully refunded when you go ahead with your installation. After handover, live monitoring and annual servicing keep your system efficient and your warranties valid for the long term.

FAQ

Heat pump questions, answered

A typical installation is around £14,500 before grants. The £7,500 Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant brings that down to roughly £7,000, and eligible off-gas-grid homes can claim an enhanced £9,000 grant (applications 21 July 2026 to 31 March 2027), netting to around £5,500. Heat pumps also carry 0% VAT until 2027, and we handle the grant application for you.

Yes. MCS certification is required to claim the Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant and is your assurance the installation meets recognised standards. We are also Heat Geek trained and a RECC member, which means design-led installs rather than box-fitting.

We install premium R290 (propane) units such as the Vaillant aroTHERM plus, achieving a seasonal COP of up to 4.9. R290 has a Global Warming Potential of just 3 and performs efficiently in cold UK winters.

Yes — when it is designed correctly. We size every system from a full room-by-room heat loss survey, set it up for low flow temperatures and specify the right emitters and cylinder, so your home stays evenly warm and the system runs cheaply.

Most domestic installations are completed in a matter of days, not weeks, with minimal disruption. We survey properly first, agree the design with you, then install and commission to VDI 2035 water quality.
