Acoustic Signature

Noise Floor Analysis

The Problem: Turbulent water in narrow pipes creates a "hissing" sound in radiators, while standard heat pumps hum loudly like a fridge.

The Solution: By widening the pipe diameter, we lower the velocity. The water flows silently, and the outdoor unit runs at 30% speed—quieter than a whisper (28dB).

Thermal Stability

Cycle vs. Modulation
TARGET 21°C
OVERSHOOT (WASTE)

The Problem: Standard stats react too late. They blast heat until the room is 23°C (Overshoot), wasting energy. Then they turn off until you feel cold (19°C).

The Solution: Our system modulates the input energy to match the heat loss exactly. The line stays flat at 21°C. No peaks, no waste, just constant comfort.

Water Flow

Gliding, not Forcing.

Standard installers try to force water through tiny pipes. It's noisy and wastes energy. We design your system so the water "glides" effortlessly. It's the difference between breathing through a straw and breathing naturally.

SMOOTH FLOW
02
Efficiency

Cruise Control for Heating.

A boiler runs at full speed, then stops. That's like driving with your foot flat on the floor. Our system acts like "Cruise Control", adjusting the temperature automatically based on the weather outside to save fuel.

AUTOMATIC ADJUSTMENT
03
Comfort

Simmer, don't Boil.

Old heating blasts you with heat, then lets you get cold. Our "Steady State" method keeps the radiators gently warm all the time. Your home stays at the perfect temperature 24/7, using less energy than a stop-start system.

Implementation Protocol

From survey to handover.

The Digital Survey
We don't guess. We laser-scan your rooms to build a digital heat-loss model. This tells us exactly how much energy your home loses per hour, ensuring the heat pump is sized to perfection.
Hydraulic Design
Our engineers calculate the flow rates and pipe sizes needed for silent running. We design the system on paper before a single tool is lifted.
Precision Installation
Our team treats your home like a showroom. We use dust extraction, floor protection, and precision tools. If we follow Path 01 (Zero Disruption), we aim to be finished in just 3 days.
Balancing & Handover
The most critical step. We adjust every valve to balance the water flow. Then, we set up your app, show you the controls, and hand over your Heat Geek Certificate.

Technical Intelligence.

Common queries regarding High-Efficiency Design.

Why is "Flow Rate" the critical factor?
Flow rate is the heartbeat of the system. Too fast creates turbulence and noise. Too slow causes the heat pump to 'short cycle' (turn on/off rapidly), destroying efficiency. We calculate the precise Mass Flow Rate required for Silent Laminar Flow.
Can I retain my existing microbore pipework?
Yes. This is our Path 01: Zero Disruption protocol. By utilizing a high-temperature heat pump (Vaillant aroTHERM Plus) and a hydraulic separator, we can achieve good efficiency (SCOP 3.8) without the need to lift floors or replace pipes.
Do you install Buffer Tanks?
Generally, no. Standard installers use large buffer tanks as a "lazy fix" to prevent cycling, but this ruins efficiency. We aim for a Direct System ("Open Loop") where the heat pump flows straight into your radiators. This requires precise calculation, but delivers the highest possible SCOP.
What is included in the Heat Geek Assurance?
This is an optional third-party audit. Heat Geek themselves verify our design calculations and post-installation performance. If the system fails to meet the quoted efficiency, they cover the cost of rectification. It is the ultimate performance guarantee.
Can I keep my Nest or Hive thermostat?
We recommend against it. Third-party controls like Nest are simple "On/Off" switches. They force the heat pump to stop and start, killing efficiency. We install dedicated Vaillant sensoCOMFORT or myVAILLANT controls. These "talk" to the unit, allowing it to modulate power up and down smoothly like a dimmer switch.
How does Weather Compensation work?
Weather Compensation adjusts the flow temperature based on the outside air. Instead of running at a fixed 50°C, the system might run at 35°C on a mild day. This "Low & Slow" approach is how we achieve SCOP figures of 5.0+.
How long does the Volumetric Survey take?
Between 2 to 4 hours. This is not a quick "quote visit". We measure every room, window, and radiator. We check insulation levels and pipe diameters. This data allows us to build a Digital Twin of your home to simulate performance before we even order the kit.
Will I need a new Hot Water Cylinder?
Almost always, Yes. Heat pumps require a cylinder with a massive internal coil (heat exchanger) to transfer energy quickly at lower temperatures. Your standard gas boiler cylinder likely has a small coil that would take hours to heat up. We install Heat Pump Specific Cylinders that reheat in 30-45 minutes.
Why don't you use a "Rule of Thumb" for sizing?
Because it wastes your money. Most plumbers guess "100 Watts per square meter". This leads to a heat pump that is Oversized. An oversized unit costs more to buy, more to run, and wears out faster. We size the unit to the exact Wattage your home actually needs.
